I've realised that I've hopelessly ovecommitted myself to various things in my life.
The only thing to do when that happens is to prioritise - it's impossible to achieve everything.
So I'm taking a little blog holiday as well as being realistic (or trying to be) about what other things I can realistically do.
I'm also going to be easier on myself.
I've got an ethical job (with a massive learning curve) which also fits with what I believe about local food and converting people to local and seasonal eating and menus - so how much more campaigning do I really need to do? Because there's We Dig for Victory and there's also Low Carbon Exeter, and I'm doing various writing projects as well.
.Likewise there are web design projects - one which I successfully turned down this last week. And my final exam for massage is on Wednesday.
And then there's meditation every morning (30 minutes).
No wonder the allotment has gone to rack and ruin.
And where can I find time to go to the gym?
Part of voluntary simplicity is about knowing your limits. I tend to think I haven't that many. But I need to be wiser about my time and working out what I have time for.
So I'm having a good think about what I have got time for and what I haven't got time for - and in the meantime, giving myself a blog holiday.
